American Culper Members
General Washington asked Tallmadge to form a spy ring of trusted people. This led Tallmadge to turn to his childhood friends from Setauket, NY. Tallmadge's father was minister at the Setauket Presbyterian Church and became a center of Patriot resistance to British rule during the American Revolution. The bond is based on trust, loyalty and to eachother. Members included Woodhull, Brewster, Roe, Strong and her husband Selah Strong.
